  • Brandon DuPlacey has been immersed in sports for as long as he can remember. From an early age, being a fan of his hometown teams gave him a powerful sense of pride. As far as he was concerned, the teams from his city were his—personal and deeply meaningful. They gave value to his roots.

He couldn’t bring himself to be a fair-weather fan, because in Chicago, the weather is rarely fair. Whether good or bad, the unpredictability of it all only made the experience more specific and unique to him. He could have chosen to support any team—even the most successful professional franchises or elite programs—but instead, he chose to celebrate the victories and endure the heartbreaks of the teams from the place he calls home.

He cheers for his hometown heroes—or more often, the lack thereof—but they are his all the same. The teams born from this city and state might lift him up or let him down, but they will always be his teams. No one can take that away. Brandon loves Chicago sports because, to him, they feel like home.

  • For Dustin, sports have always been a way to build connection. Some of his best friendships were born through playing, watching, or debating sports. That’s what drives him to be part of FSCS — the chance to keep creating those moments, those conversations, and that shared love of the game.
