Meet The Team

Welcome to Four Stars Chicago Sports (FSCS), your go-to hub for bold takes, game-day insights, and unapologetic Chicago sports fandom. From die-hard Bears breakdowns to all-things Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks, we're not just talking sports — we live them. FSCS isn’t just a podcast network; it’s a community of fans who know the pain and the pride of riding with Chicago teams through it all.

But who’s behind the mic? Let’s hear what the four stars themselves.

Shawn Lugo
My name is Shawn Lugo, and I was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago. Chicago isn’t just where I’m from—it’s in my DNA. Growing up here, being a diehard fan of our teams wasn’t a choice, it was a way of life.

I’ve always had a deep passion for Chicago sports—talking about it, breaking it down, and hearing what fellow fans have to say. That’s why we started the Four Stars Chicago Sports and our community: to build something real. A space where we can share our thoughts, debate the big moments, and celebrate what makes this city’s sports culture so special. Because at the end of the day, we are One Chicago.

You can hear Shawn weekly on The Bearly There Podcast, The Halas Hall Hangover, and The Northside Nine.

Kyle Duplacey
I'm Kyle Duplacey, an avid sports fan who has been entrenched in Chicago sports for as far back as I can remember. My love for sports grew exponentially when Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls won the first of their second three-peat. I've been following the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and Cubs since the late 90s, and would consider myself an obsessive sports fan at this point.

Chicago sports mean the world to me. The heartbreak, disappointment, anxious anticipation, excitement, happiness, and tears are all an equal part of the journey, and I love every minute of it. My love for sports has helped me in creating some close friendships and unbelievable memories.

I look at Four Stars Chicago Sports as an opportunity to expand those relationships and experiences. Our hope is to be part of a culture, a Chicago sports community, and we'd love for you to join us.

Kyle appears on The Bearly There Podcast and The Halas Hall Hangover, and co-hosts The Northside Nine.

Dustin "KrafD" Jones
My name is Dustin “KrafD” Jones. I am a father, a husband, a hard worker, and a sh!t talker. I’ve been obsessed with sports for as long as I can remember. When I was four years old I could name every team in the NFL by looking at their football helmets. (When I was four years old I also drove my mom’s car through the front window of a White Hen Pantry, so do with this information what you will).

Sports have served as a bonding mechanism for me throughout my life. Some of my best relationships have been forged through sports—whether participating in them, watching them, or discussing them. That is why I do this, and love doing it so much, because of the connection these conversations create between all of us. I look forward to continuing to connect with anyone who wants to talk sports with Four Stars Chicago.

Catch him on The Halas Hall Hangover.

Brandon Duplacey
My name is Brandon DuPlacey. Sports have been ingrained in me for as long as I can remember. Being a fan of my hometown teams was one of the first things in my life that gave me a real sense of pride. As far as I was concerned, the teams from this city were mine—my own. It gave value to my roots.

I couldn’t bring myself to be a fair-weather fan, because in Chicago, the weather rarely is. Whether good or bad, it was just another element that made the experience specific and unique to me. I could’ve been a fan of anyone—even the most successful professional teams or athletic programs—but I chose instead to celebrate the successes and wallow in the failures of the teams from the place I call home.

To cheer for my hometown heroes—or, more often, the lack thereof—but mine all the same. Teams born from this city and state might lift me up or bear me down, but they’ll always be my teams. No one can take that away from me. I love Chicago sports teams because, for me, they feel like home.
